What is Reiki?

Reiki is an ancient hands on healing technique made popular by Dr Usui from Japan.
It was brought to the Western world by Hawayo Takata in 1938.
There are many different forms of Reiki in Japan.
It can be described as Ki (life force) Rei meaning God-consciousness
Reiki meaning spiritually divine guided life force

Reiki is a very gentle form of hands on healing
Contact can be on the skin or 2-3 inches above the body clients are fully clothed.
There are specific points on the body that can be targeted to balance the chrakas and meridians.
Reiki practitioners are taught first to heal themselves before attempting to heal others.
The belief is that we all have a dormant ability to heal ourselves.
By learning to attune to the Reiki vibration it awakens that healing ability in ourselves.
It can awaken our intuition and spiritual development can be progressed.
Reiki heals on all levels physical, emotional and spiritual.
Reiki balances and allows us to release negative emotions


What can I expect in a treatment?

You can sit or lay down fully clothed.
The hand positions would be explained to you and you will be asked if you want body contact or not.
You will feel very relaxed.
It differs from each person most will feel so relaxed they will drift off into sleep.
You will feel refreshed and revitalised after a Reiki session
Clarity, peace of mind and more control of your emotions 
A session can take 20-60 mins whatever that person needs at that time.
Every Reiki session is different as each time you receive healing you are different.

What conditions can it treat?

Stress, anxiety, pain, depression, IBS, negative thought patterns the list is endless I have found it effective on most issues in today’s world.
I would like to stress that for serious complaints a Doctor should always be consulted.
Medication should still be taken even though you feel better after a treatment you must consult with your G.P.
If you are on any medication and want to decrease the dose this must be done slowly and with your G.P.s consent.

As part of Reiki  2  your commitment will be daily practice of Reiki for 30 days on your self. Also 5 case studies of Reiki on others

Syllabus

Explanation of the Master symbol meaning and how to use
Reiki 3A Master attunement
Practice using the symbol for treatment
Practising Reiju
Koki-Ho Healing with the breath
Gyoshi-Ho Healing with the eyes
Practice time for giving attunements
Demonstration of atttunements
You will be asked to draw all the symbols you have learnt and memorise them
Mentoring sessions to be arranged observation and assessment of two clients receiving Reiki
Responsibility of Master Reiki.
Certificate authorised by the Reiki Federation on completion

As part of your commitment it is even more important to practice regularly with the Master symbol on your self.
